As an eclectic/theosophical monastery of The Paracelsian Order, we have monks who are men and women, of any spiritual persuasion, so long as they follow a positive path to spiritual perfection. They may be in a relationship or single. Our practice is meditation, healing, teaching, and service. Membership in the monastery is necessary for permanent residence. The members are monks who make all decisions and set community goals and who are highly skilled in their abilities. Leadership in the monastery is by annual election among the monk community.
Retreat guests take limited part in community functions according to their skills and conditions of residence. The ability to work cooperatively on group goals is valued above all else. We have limited residential space, since the fires in 2007 destroyed much of our facility, but we have plans to add on to our residential structure. We are marketing vegetables to the local organic markets and planting a five acre herb farm. We need skilled members to help build our business and take part in this unique experiment. Several educational programs are offered on our web site. For further information, please see our website. Call, write, or email to make reservations for a visit.
