A Day at the Falls
AinaOla means "Land of Aliveness." We are located on the big island of Hawaii, and our vision is to create a sustainable, exclusively raw-food, tribal homestead. For us, this begins with actively growing our own organic, raw foods and animals using efficient permaculture systems. But that's just the start. The AinaOla vision also encompasses truly human sustainability through shared responsibility; consensus decision making; egalitarian, tribal social structure; open and honest, nonviolent communication; and real commitments to personal, family, and community growth and spiritual awakening. We're also exploring how to live our sexuality with freedom, responsibility, and sanity, such that it strengthens and enriches our community. And our vision is open to change and growth as new folks arrive.
So far, our greatest mastery has been in the homesteading and raw-food realms. Creating an intimate, stable, bonded core family is taking more time. We've definitely found that humans are the toughest crop of all, but we like 'em, so we're not giving up.
Is our vision compellingly attractive to you? Let's talk. (If you think you could live another way, we're probably not your community.)
Aloha, from AinaOla
