| The Abundant Freek community-in-formation is specifically conceived of as a co-community. This means that it is attuned to addressing the challenge of enabling other pre-existing communities of people in their quest to find more equitable ways to live. As such, it does not aim to be egalitarian or collective itself. The ultimate organizational format is yet to be determined, and may include for-profit, values-driven corporation.
We aim to only need about 10 acres of good farmland, in a location such as Blue Lake, California, U.S.A. By effective tractor and hand cultivation of the land, we will be in a position to offer biodynamic bulk produce to the core and related community in exchange for any hand weeding needed and the picking labor.
By making equipment shop facilities available to responsible parties, we will enable members of the community to own low-cost, functional trucks, etc. By keeping our land open to all enthusiastic people, we will enable people to find their own relationship to the land. By providing community facilities, we will enable people to find their own relationship to each other. By offering a very low-cost but abundant lifestyle, we will enable people to find out what cultural-economic ("culturonomic") change is about. | Community location is placed at the center of the zip/postal code, city/state, or city/country (not based on street addresses) |
