Chacra Millalen
Chubut,
Argentina
Millalen is a learning center situated in southwest Argentina at the foot of the Andes. We are dedicated to promoting peace by learning to live together--with each other and with nature. In our experience, listening, communication, and mutual agreement provide a path toward healthy relationships. In the principles of ecology, we have found valid criteria for our relationship with nature. As a learning center, each year we offer a program of gatherings and retreats, which include personal-growth exercises, self-discovery games, circle dances, and meditation.
Apart from these programs, we also receive visitors, who join in our daily life in a more informal way. There is opportunity to assist with organic gardening, home food preservation, bread making and vegetarian cooking. For much of the year our work is centered in the practical tasks of caring for the land, maintaining and expanding the garden (using a biointensive method), construction projects, and the daily work in the kitchen and in maintenance. Spanish is our common language, but members of the group also read and write English, French, German, and Italian. Please feel welcome to contact us for more information.
Note: No longer accepting members. Land ownership is single family, not a ‘mix’ as described in Directory 2000.
