Luther House
Ann Arbor, Michigan,
United States
Situated a few minutes’ walk from central campus, Luther Co-op comprises two old Victorian houses, each over a hundred years old. The houses are close to convenience stores, coffee shops, and city buses. Able to house 50 people, the houses are very spacious with plenty of spaces in the common areas to sit, watch TV or talk. Dinners, held at 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday, are a huge part of the social life at Luther, providing an occasion where the housemates can meet up and chat after a long day at school or at work. For those not wanting to feel cooped up, we have (count them) three porches—including one with a porch swing—to hang out on. We also have a huge backyard with a fire pit (which is very popular during the summer), a basketball court, bike racks, and plenty of parking. The Co-op is in the midst of wiring the houses to provide Ethernet to all their rooms. And to top it all off, Luther is also well known for hosting a huge Halloween party.
