Michigan House
Ann Arbor, Michigan,
United States
Founded in 1932, Michigan House is the oldest co-op in Ann Arbor, and is indeed believed to be the oldest student housing co-op in North America. We have a very strong community and a healthy sense of house pride. Our common areas are rarely empty, and members can often be found discussing politics or culture over the bustling dinner table. We offer vegetarian options at every meal while also providing for our meat-eating brethren. Members of the big purple house next door (Minnie's) also board at Mich and are treated as full-fledged Mich Housers themselves (except for the occasional Mich v. Minnie's bowling match). On a sunny day, you're sure to find us hanging out on the comfortable porch. Stop by sometime and see what it's all about!
