Kingman Hall
Berkeley, California,
United States
The essence of our former identity, the Living Love Center, permeates the wandering nooks and spaces in this house; be it in ephemeral murals found up here or behind there or within the constant flux of kindred spirits. Smile, smile, smile.
Although just one block from the UC Berkeley campus, our serene backyard features a stream, a huge redwood tree, a hot tub, and a natural amphitheater.
Kingman has a giant amoeba-shaped dining room table that everyone can sit around and face each other while enjoying “good food and gooder conversation.” -Zak (English major). It is a really social place here and great for networking.
Kingman Hall is above all a home for 49 students who get to experience communal living with all its benefits and all its drawbacks. Indeed, “Kingman surpasses all expectations.” -Half-Fish.
We are one of 17 co-ops associated with the University Students Cooperative Association (usca.org).
