Communauté de la Vieille Voie
B-4000 Liège,
Belgium
Our community was born in the context of a renewal of a local Catholic parish in the 1970s and 1980s. A large number of Christians then formed groups ("équipes de vie"), and one of them wanted to have a more intensive collective life and prayer. So we built six houses after having bought part of the priests' garden. We are still active members of this parish of which we are "a stone among many others."
The highest priority of the community is the autonomy of each family life, and we have in common.oa large meeting room and a room for visitors as well as a small "chapel";.othe garden;.otwo funds to which each member contributes a small part of their income, one for collective material expenses, the other for spiritual activities or donations to other associations.
Our common life is mainly composed of.oa common meal each Saturday noon;.oa common prayer each night;.oregular meetings and an annual spiritual weekend.
