There are two adjoining Corani houses in Leicester where six to eight of us live collectively and that act as a center for the other Some People in Leicester network activities. Housing is flexible and need not be collective. Homes are urban terraces at present. We work allotments, and we own one in Leicester that is becoming a forest garden. Capital is not essential to join, but those who have it are asked to deposit some with Corani. Most members income pool. Decision making is essentially pragmatic: by consensus where all are concerned and otherwise with sensitive autonomy. We welcome, by arrangement, visitors who will help out or participate while with us. We probably have one or two room spaces for new members. Alternatively, we have been known to accept people and their houses! Corani is a non-equity-sharing, fully mutual body IE commonwealth.

We are a city-based cooperative network with a variety of practical activities: vehicle pool; organic gardening; income pooling; cooperative housing; capital pooling.

We feel it is vital that local groups do not exist in isolation but are involved in wider struggles and broader visions. We are members of Radical Routes Secondary Co-op--a network of radical housing and worker co-ops.

We welcome visitors by arrangement and are looking for more people to get involved.
