There are two adjoining Corani houses in Leicester where up to eight of us can live collectively. These houses act as a center for the other Some People in Leicester network activities. Housing is flexible and need not be collective. Homes are urban terraces at present. We work allotments, and we own one in Leicester. Capital is not essential to join, but those who have it are asked to deposit some with Corani. Members income share. Decision making is essentially pragmatic: by consensus where all are concerned and otherwise with sensitive autonomy. We welcome, by arrangement, visitors who will help out or participate while with us. We have two room spaces for new members. Alternatively, we have been known to accept people and their houses! Corani is a non-equity-sharing, fully mutual-body, i.e., commonwealth.

We are a city-based cooperative network with a variety of practical activities: vehicle pool; organic gardening; income sharing; cooperative housing; and capital sharing.

We feel it is vital that local groups do not exist in isolation but are involved in wider struggles and broader visions. We support Radical Routes Secondary Co-op, a network of radical housing and worker co-ops.
