| We are an urban cooperative household established in 1979--more intentional than a boarding house, less intense than a commune; more civilized than a fraternity, less crowded than a dormitory. We have relatively few rules, though relatively much experience in this lifestyle. We share the rent, the common spaces, the housework, a piano, a big yard with gardens, and make decisions by consensus when possible. We encourage friendships, good company, interesting conversations, aesthetic ruminations, and connections to a developing circle of friends. We have a non-biological resemblance that eludes prosaic description. | Community location is placed at the center of the zip/postal code, city/state, or city/country (not based on street addresses) |
