| Pagan Intentional Community (PIC) is a growing group of Earth-centered families, working toward forming our dream village in the tropics. We will live by sustainable farming and fishing in a rural setting. We want to raise our kids in peace, health, and simplicity. We seek new members who can help our effort succeed. People do not have to be wealthy to join us, as long they can provide essentials for themselves and any dependents.
We are not a traditional commune. We will have our own homes and possessions but work together on a communal farm and share a town center. We will form our community guidelines and deal with problems in an open egalitarian forum, reaching decisions by consensus.
We hope to establish a free learning center, in which people of all ages will be able to learn about whatever interests them, unfettered by the constraints of a traditional school system.
We seek an island or large tract with fertile soil and a strong ecosystem where we may live lightly, gently finding our place in the existing food chain. Our family is headed down to Panamá during the winter of 2005/06 to scout out possible community sites for our project. We prize diverse, creative, free thinkers who will make our village strong and viable. We are currently seeking grant money, and those who can help us obtain it. If you wish to join our e-mail list, please e-mail me at WaterSpryt@aol.com.
Brightest blessings!
