We are a small community formed in 1995. Our focus is love, peace, harmony, seeking joy in all aspects of life. Village of Harmony is located 55 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. The weather is mild year round, sunny with low humidity. We build alternative houses and some of us live in small trailers, etc. Some use solar electricity and live very simply. At present we are all over 40 years old and have no children, but we are open to families and younger people. Some of us even grow some of our own food. We attempt to live in harmony with all things and strive to be debt free. Some of us work part-time jobs and some of us are on disability. All of us are very independent and own our on places.
We are open to new members and can help others find inexpensive building lots and achieve our goal of self-sufficiency.
The village has 10+ acres. 7 of the acres are together and are already fenced and have some structures under construction. The rest are scattered and are undeveloped. Any new member can develop any of these lots and can build an alternative structure. Any structures built will remain property of VOH. Some of these lots can also be purchased if desired.
We are an independent and loose knit ic, but we are affiliated with several other ic's that have structured events on going. Most of us have integrated very well with these groups and attend regular events.
