MSU Student Housing Cooperative

United States
Meet our Board of Directors
The MSU Student Housing Cooperative is an organization of more than 200 students from Michigan State University and other local campuses. MSU SHC collectively owns 14 houses, ranging from five members to 29 members. Some of our houses operate with meal plans and others do not. We value democracy and house autonomy and make large decisions that affect the entire company at our Board of Directors meetings. Each house has a seat on our Board, and we also have a small hard-working Executive Committee composed of our President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of Education, Vice President of Membership, and Corporate Treasurer. Relative to other similar student housing co-ops, we have one of the lowest staff-to-member ratios and are able to maintain the co-op’s reputation as a low-cost and inclusive housing option.
