Community of Hospitality
Decatur, Georgia,
United States
The Community of Hospitality (COH) is an intentional, faith-based community committed to service and worship. We serve in pursuit of peace and justice. We gather for worship in pursuit of deepening the inner life, integrating our inner life with our outer work.
The Community of Hospitality includes both a residential community of full-time volunteers and a non-residential group who gather on Sunday evenings at the residence for worship and who support the maintaining of the house.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR RESIDENTS WHO:
desire to live with people working for social justice
are open to exploring their spiritual life
can commit at least one year to life in community
will work as a full-time volunteer through one of our affiliates
“Community instigates and facilitates personal growth. The inherent exposure to new ideas, values, and activities brought by each resident deepens my own identity. Community forces me to articulate my own needs and to create space with myself to hear others' needs.”
Benefits: community life, room and board, transportation, health insurance, monthly stipend. Diversity in age and race is encouraged.
