Kawai PuraPura is located in the northern suburbs of North Shore City, about 15 km north of downtown Auckland, New Zealand. Kawai PuraPura is the third renaming and restructuring of a community which has existed on this site since 1978. The previous community names were Centrepoint, Anahata, and Kahikatea Eco-Village. In December 2008, the site on which the community is located was sold to the Wellpark College of Natural Therapies, which now controls and administers the community. http://wellpark.co.nz
