The Eden Project
Welcome to Eden
The Eden Project is to create a MultiGenerational 2,240-acre Permaculture based EcoVillage Community in Mendocino County in Northern California that will be able to become completely Self-Sustainable in food water energy housing education and reproductive capacity. We do not yet own the land.
We will each be able to build our own Passive-Solar homes on Homesteads which will all be 3 acres in a circle all around the rim of Eden with a view across the valley farmlands.
.
Along with that will go another 2 acre farm site right in front of the homestead and out within the good farmland in the valley itself totalling 5 acres for a Contribution Pledge starting at $36,000.
.
The Vegan Village will be an Egalitarian Community within a Community that could have over 200 members on 90 acres.
.
There will also be a large community farm to create jobs and to support our own Sustainable Micro-Economy. The Village will be a large central area for community uses like music and many other things.
.
Ancient Valley is a 200-acre natural area for camping and retreats with two big lakes and a creek, set aside to remain very much the way it is.
.
Surrounding woodlands complete the picture all nestled within the Mountains and the hills around us up against 55,000 acres of Protected Wilderness Lands that run right up into Mendocino National Forest.
.
Village Foods will create a market for some of the many things we will each be growing on our personal mini-farms by having our own natural-food store in the town of Willits which is about 33 miles away.
.
Eden is a Child Centered community and for that reason it is a Womens Centric Community meaning this might be just the place for the female spirit to be able to spread Her wings and fly.
.
Our focus is on Earth Stewardship for the greater good in a natural learning and healing environment. Our purpose is to Save the Earth as a part of the Emerald Forest of Sustainable Communities.
.
There will be low income opportunities like the no down payment Pledges for one out of 3 Homesteaders that can be paid off over time. And there is a Seniors Discount as well.
.
The Eden Journal is also available with maps and resources and is only $10.00 for the next four issues. Make checks payable to: T. McClure, PO Box 571 Kenwood CA 95452.
