Aponi Gardens
Tyler County, Texas,
United States
Montgomery County, Texas
Aponi Gardens is one person living in rural East Texas with his dogs on very biologically diverse land. I currently have two types of positions available: animal husbandry/gardener/helper or like minded investor. I own land free and clear. I do not have running water, and unless you want to camp in a tent or in your own RV you would need to help me build additional buildings.
Aponi Gardens is an eco-village that aspires to live a holistic lifestyle from organic gardening and community enterprises. Aponi is a Native American word for butterfly.
I am a life long naturalist that currently owns 12 acres of very biologically diverse land in rural East Texas and a separate small recreational lot in a rural type area that is very close to upscale urban/suburban communities. I am looking for honest, like minded individuals to partner with and build an intentional community and eco-village.
Here are some of my interest: organic gardening, wildlife gardening, foraging, mycology, animal husbandry, holistic living, aquaculture, food forest, and permaculture.
Compatible people could buy into my vision and land by forming a cooperative by adding your property to the association, purchasing a share/shares in the current existing properties, or provide labor for room and board. Not all positions are labor intensive. I would provide the right person with room and board if they would be willing to watch over the homestead, care for the plants and animals, while I'm working off the premises.
Currently, the Aponi Gardens eco-village is just one person with a grand vision and two separate properties in Southeast Texas.
