We are spiritual beings seeking to live in harmony with others. Gaining practical skills from the earth up, grounding ourselves, creating art. We contemplate a global common sense, what is the universal way to live, the essence of it.
A word on safety status of this country: Mexico is generally safe. We have completely safe here for years. Do not believe the hype which is on mass media (we hope you understand this before coming here) It can be said this is safer than the USA, after the Sikh shootings and Batman movie shootings, etc. random violence on campus, wall street, oakland.
Here we are, closer to paradise. This is a gradual concerted beginning, based upon strong individual awareness. Committing to simplicity and study of communications for further self-knowing and then community cohesion. We practice much meditation, yoga and tai-chi. We clear the mind from all the clutter of the past. Then we write it down and understand hidden secrets of motivation. Or we paint it, all of it is expression of what brought us to this transition.
Our location is surrounded by a wonderful, natural wilderness. In some ways it is harsh, being a desert, arid for some of the year. Yet the beauty is beyond words. Contact us to find out more. You are welcome and we will coordinate with you to make it happen. It can truly be a new life and new society we are developing.
All spiritual and religious backgrounds are invited. We respect all and we are involved in comparative discussion. Again, what is the universal, the real humanity of this planet.
(for historical purposes) initially we had posted this info: Sun Sea Temple eco-village is a new community for staff, faculty, and volunteers, and visitors of our arts program. We can also be described as an artist colony or collective. We hold some basic principles in common, including: permaculture, organic lifestyle, simplicity, sustainable development, and spiritual seeking. For the longterm commitment, we are an ashram, following more strict program of work, study, meditation and various forms of yoga, service to the tourists, art-lovers, and world at large.
