Ahimsa Ranch
Santa Cruz Mountains, California,
United States
We are looking for partners to purchase land, or who already own land, to join in a vision of living in harmony with the Earth and one another in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This piece must be in place to move forward & have an actual place for people to come to. There isn't a physical space at this time! When it is, I will change the listing to reflect that.
We are committed to sustainability by growing as much of our own food as possible, being vegetarian/vegan (on site), building dwellings that utilize alternative energy and resources, composting, water catchment, and use of grey water, and any other ideas put forth by community members towards living sustainably.
We will strive to communicate with openness and compassion with one another, and to treat each other, & all beings with loving kindness as a cornerstone of our community. All beliefs are welcome, as are all ages!
Our haven will also be a sanctuary for others to come to visit, to learn, to heal and to grow with us and the horses and other animals that help facilitate that!
Retreat space will be part of the master plan to include a common meeting/living/meditation/yoga/movie area, with kitchen and bath house, with individual or family cottages (etc.) as well. There will also be retreat space to accommodate our guests in the form of comfortable cottages, yurts or similar.
This is a serious endeavor for people who are passionate and committed to creating something of beauty, who are grounded dreamers with vision and the energy to pursue something of incalculable value, and who understand the challenges, as well as the joys implicit in living in community.
