Ascending Spirit/Oak Park Cohousing
Salem, Oregon,
United States
Ascending Spirit is an extended family network of communities for those who recognize that we are currently in the midst of an unprecedented opportunity for spiritual growth and would like to engage with other like-minded individuals in order to greatly accelerate our own, as well as aid in our planet’s, spiritual evolution.
Our communities follow Network for New Culture and Nonviolent Communication principles.
Oak Park Cohousing is based in a gated condominium complex consisting of 24 units. The homes are all single-story duplex structures with 880 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths and attached one-car garages. The units have been coming up for sale recently for very low prices. The homeowner's association is owner run and democratic so if 12 or more owners are members of the community, we would have a majority vote. It is possible that some of the current residents may choose to join the community. At this time, there are no common facilites but one of the units could be purchased by the community as a common house. There is an adjoining property that could be annexed to the community and would make an ideal common house if it were to become available in the future.
Salem is the state capital and is located halfway between Portland and Eugene. There is a community college neighboring the property and shopping is within walking distance.
