We are a research and education facililty. Heimat hosts a small village and supports it's researchers, interns, and students/observers here. We classify ourselves as an ecovillage and most of our personnel live full time on the property.
We work to advance sustainable lifestyles, self reliant living, self empowerment, and other issues and our community is our research and test ground. In addition to conducting research, we live here according to our values of small and simple.
