Washington Home Share
Tacoma, Washington,
United States
Washington Home Share is a newly formed grassroots collective open to families and individuals interested in joining together to share housing, conserve natural resources and enjoy a peaceful and supportive home environment.
We have targeted a 1.5 Acre Parcel for our initial EcoHousing Project. Interested members are encouraged to visit our Blog and sign up for more detailed information. An interest list is forming now. Unit should be ready for occupancy July 2012.
We pattern our group around an eco-village concept of shared housing expenses, use of renewable energy to reduce utility costs and voluntary use of our organic garden for growing vegetables and fruits. We offer free-training for those that are interested in learning more about renewable energy, solar & wind power, LED Lighting and sustainable construction and design.
Our long term goal is the acquisition and construction of shared housing units that will allow families and individuals to have a safe and supportive environment to live, work, acquire skills in the field of renewable energy and sustainable construction while rebuilding their personal finances. An ownership program is integrated into our vision for a successful transition from shared housing to home ownership.
