Bringing the intentional village and Primal skills together in one place for exceptional living and thriving in health, attitude, relationships and economy.
We have moved to the next stage and are now accepting prospective members.
The primal Village will be an Intentional Community comprised of individuals and families who's main goal in life is to live life without depending on the rest of the world for survival or existence.
You will find that most of these people will be trying to live the four R's (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The reasons will be varied, some may live this life style because it is cost effective, others for the Planet, etc.
Members will most generally be interested in Alternative Energy production, Eliminating GMO foods from their diet, growing their own food (Wild Edibles, vegetables, meat, fruit), building their own Natural (locally obtainable natural resources) buildings/homes and many more similar ideas and lifestyles that result in not needing to buy anything.
I am looking for people who are interested in helping out with the formation and implementation of this project, if you are or know someone that might be, contact me.
We have decided to start with what we have for now and once we have established a community core we will begin looking for a minimum of 14 acres of unimproved, structureless (no buildings or improvements present) land. The more interest we have the more land we will need so it would be nice if we had options surrounding the core village.
Where we are at now, we have about .5 acre and could possibly get another 19 acres that directly adjoins our .5 acre. This is dependent on the owner and our available finances.
Status: Preliminary Building Stage
Community location is placed at the center of the zip/postal code, city/state, or city/country (not based on street addresses)

We are in cleanup mode right now. No community buildings exist as of yet and we are the only family at this time.
Statement of Housing Non-discrimination:
Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.
Housing in our community is incidental to employment and therefore fair housing laws do not apply (though employment discrimination laws may).
Members(adults and children):
(Cleanup and building Stages right now.)
Open to new members:
(Shared vision is necessary)
(Still being decided at this time.)
(Most likely yes. This is still fluid at this time. No definite decision has been made.)
Leadership Core Group:
(Most likely yes (still planning at this time.) We hope for this to be a fully functioning Community, we will need leaders.)
Labor and Money
(Moneys earned from Community ventures will be proportioned accordingly to participants after overhead (coop style). Required participation in the form of time or resources (money, services, products, other people you pay to work for you in the community, etc.).)
Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt:
(As long as they are able to meet the required community participation rules.)
(Each participant will be required to participate in the building of their home. Members may be required to do various communal jobs such as wash dishes or clean bathrooms in turn. Members will be expected to participate in some way when the community needs something (for instance... If we needed solar panels one might help sell fish from the aquaponics farm or contribute monetarily, which ever the member chooses). Members may)
(Refundable deposit (after prescribed amount of time) will be required to ensure that interested persons so not leave unfinished buildings or projects, should they change their minds.)
(We are considering leasing property rights for individual/family dwellings, to ensure certain property rights for members.)
Land and Buildings
(We are located minutes from lake Tawakoni and Quinlan, TX. Outside of the city limits in Hunt County.)
0.5 acres (0.2 hectares)
Land Owned By:
Individual community member(s)
(This will change when we have decided on how to transfer the land ownership and how we are going to organize it.)
Number of Residences:
(I believe we can establish 6 families where we are at now.)
(Somewhat but not entirely. With some basic amenities in each private housing such as a sink and living area, the main bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas will be shared buildings.)
Percentage of Food Grown:
(Goal is 100% of all food will be grown in the community. We will be building an aqauponics farm this spring that should raise this to over 50%.)
Share Community Meals:
(As often as desired but the plan is to have all meals prepared to be shared and members join as they are able.)
Dietary Choice or Restrictions:
There are some dietary restrictions
(The Primal Village will be a natural, organic foods community. You may eat any way you desire but if you want something not raised in the community, it will be your responsibility to get it at your cost. Grains, commercially processed meals and sugar will not be allowed in the community kitchen or pantry(ies) but are allowed in individuals homes.)
(Every one is welcome. Hopefully the focus will be more Primal foods but to each their own.)
(No abuse will be tolerated.)
(In designated areas or in your personal housing/space. No butts left anywhere on the community grounds if they are not readily compostable.)
Common Spiritual Practices:
(We will be founded as a Secular Community. Spiritual practices will be personal and should be kept to ones housing or at least not practiced in a way that offends others in the community.)
Which Spiritual Traditions(s):
(Preference will be homeschooled but each member is obviously allowed to school their children how they wish.)
