| We are a Reformed Baptist, family integrated, Christ centered church and community. God’s word is our standard for how we live in the world and with one another.
Everyone who lives in our community is a member of Christ Covenant Baptist Church, but not all church members live in the community. We have a multi-generational view for our church and our community. (Exodus 20:4-6)
We have covenanted together to help one another (I Thessolonians 5:11), raise our children (Ephesians 6:4), admonish and encouraging one another toward the knowledge of the truth (Proverbs 27:17).
We do not combine finances, but we do share the things that we have, and invest in one another’s lives. The men are training the young men to build, and together, they spend most Saturdays building each other’s homes or working on other community projects. On these days, the women, who are training their daughters to keep the home, prepare a meal which is shared by all at the community center .
We believe in Biblical roles for the family. (Ephesians 5,6).
At this time we are 6 years old, have 20 acres, 9 homes, a church, community center, and 27 of us live on the community grounds. We are presently buying 60 to 100 acres of land in our area and are looking for like minded families who might what to join with us. |
