New Roots Cooperative
Outside of Wichita, Kansas,
United States
New Roots Cooperative is a collection of folks forming a not-for-profit and organized as a cooperative. We are currently making plans for a farming collective with individually-owned parcels and a larger, communally-owned parcel on which to raise livestock and grow vegetables. Our goal is a self-sufficient community with objectives to disseminate information as a demonstration project for others interested in re-localization and as a clearinghouse for low-tech innovation. Some of the projects being planned are green building, mob grazing, and free-range chicken production. We are looking for like-minded individuals and families to join in this exciting project.
