 Our mission is to create an independently sustainable community where individuals and families can live and work together in harmony with nature and each other. Our intention is to create environmentally friendly structures to live and work within and to preserve our natural surroundings while living off the land. It is our goal to provide a comfortable lifestyle for those who seek the serenity of nature and the peaceful simple life of homesteading within a community of like-minded individuals.
Values
At Serenity Oaks Village we value each other as family members and accept each other’s differences as an element of the community. We value the skills and knowledge of our members and seek to improve the knowledge and skills of all our members who seek to learn and grow. We value nature, as we are a part of the living growing Earth that should be respected and protected. We value the circle of life and the natural food chain, therefore we are omnivorous, though vegans and vegetarians’ are welcome among us. We value the safety and security of our family members and therefore value the ownership and use of weapons and firearms for hunting and protection only. We believe in and live by the creed “Harm none, do as you will.” We value sharing and community, but also highly value individuality and personal space. It is important to our community to provide for all members equally in whatever ways are needed, including shelter, food, water, protection, clothing, social and emotional needs, as well as educational needs. We seek to provide for all needs and hopefully wants of our community in the best way possible without causing harm to others or our environment.
Goals
It is our goal to provide ecologically friendly housing, power, and water to all our community members (individuals and families).
It is our goal to provide ecologically friendly food supply both animal and plant for our community members’ sustenance.
It is our goal to protect our family members from any harm that may come to threaten them.
It is our goal to preserve the rights of man according to the laws of nature.

Housing in our community is incidental to employment and therefore fair housing laws do not apply (though employment discrimination laws may).
