Lily Plain Green
Lily Plain, Saskatchewan,
Canada
Gardening begins in spring time,a good time for those who wish to be Idle No More*, for some in their own lives, and for all, as a collective. INM can mean as simple as growing our own food, or as complex as joining with thousands of others who are INM in support of Earth and all her beings.... This type of energy is what we seek.
Lily Plain Green is comprised of 80 acres, about 50 of which are forested, close to the North Saskatchewan River. LPG is surrounded on three sides by the Nisbet Forest and all the wonders that forests offer.
We have built a home as we could afford it, with as many recycled materials as possible. Our organic gardens provide food for us, friends and others in need. Gardening and projects such as renewable power creation, LPG planning as an entity, and so on would be fun to discuss.
We have also built a workshop/studio which we would like to recreate as a home for a small group of others to share our land, values and positive energy for a sustainable world. LPG can be a place for gathering and acting on shared principles for many years to come.
*term 'Idle No More' reflects the INM movement, begun by First Nations and Allies in 2012.
