Community in South Aveyron neat Saint-Affrique (France) dedicated to the care of the earth, the people and oneself.

We are responsible of a land of 35 hectares with a river, sources, fields, woods and a farm originally from the XIth century.

Three associations have been created to organize activities in the Oasis :

The residents association takes care of the ecoconstructions and the lodging for the permanents and guests ;

The "Joies sauvages" association works on the natural ressources, developping permaculture projects on the site ;

The "Atelier d'Exploration Harmonique" brings together artistic/scientific/ transmission projects on the site and outside.

Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.

Population Members(adults and children): 8 (More are coming !) Non-member Residents: (It varies all the time) Open to new members: Yes (We are especially very open to foreign visitors and potential foreign members.)	Government Decision Making: By consensus (Or systemic consensus, alternatively.) Identified Leader: No (We are all leaders in each one's field !) Leadership Core Group: No Answer (Although there is no one single leadership core group, we have different collegial administrations for each of the associations the Oasis gathers, that have the responsability to represent ALL members from different aspects of life.)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances (They participate for some part to the collective needs, which are directed to serve all) Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt: No Answer (Why not but we can't handle that at present !) Labor Contribution: Expected (No rule, except helping eachother.) Join Fee: No (No, but solidarity lends are always welcome.) Regular Fees: Yes (Share of the common charges, that we aim to decrease.)
Land and Buildings Rural Area: 86.5 acres (35.0 hectares) Land Owned By: The community (The community, or more precisely a group of three associations : no one owns it, and for a good while !) Number of Residences: 3 (But more to come)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: 1-5% ((we just arrived, and we expect to to much better very soon)) Share Community Meals: Nearly all meals (There is no rule but we happen to eat together) Dietary Choice or Restrictions: Diet is up to each individual Dietary Practice: Primarily vegetarian (And with several of us eating raw foods (mainly fruits)) Alcohol Use: Seldom used (We wish to be happy without the help of alcohol.) Tobacco Use: Seldom used	Social Factors Common Spiritual Practices: No Which Spiritual Traditions(s): Eclectic (integrates pieces from many religions) (As much as we respect each one's beliefs, we take care that no one uses or speaks in the name of the group to spread his beliefs.) Educational Style(s): Public schooled (We hope to be have enough children and teachers to propose home schooling.)
