Seekers of Unity in the Body of Christ
Kerrville, Texas,
United States
(Somewhere in Central or East Texas)
A small group of conservative christians who don't want to be like everybody else. We want to live our lives for the Lord and each other, sharing land, growing gardens, sharing expenses, work as each is able. We realize that we will have differences as far as our faith, beliefs, ideas are concerned, but also know that any group of people who put God and each other first can work through anything that comes up. We don't want a single leader, but want a group consensus that follows the leading of the Lord.
We would love to meet others for discussion in working toward community.
We are a group of born again believers who are desiring to see the Body of Christ come into unity in acknowledging that we are expected to know what God's Word instructs us to do, and must endeavor to do those things. We want to be like Him and be what He expects of us as laid out in His Word. We cannot take some portions of the Word, because we like them, and discard others, because we choose not to abide by them.
We believe that Jesus bore stripes on Calvary for our healing and that He wants us to let it manifest in our bodies, and not lean on the arm of the flesh (doctors and drugs). God's Word is simple to understand with an open mind. It only becomes complicated when we try to make it what we want it be, rather than seeking what He wants for us.
He said the greatest commandments were to love Him with all our hearts, mind and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. What is so hard about that? Can't we do that? Of course we can, if we choose to become like Him.
We would love to find others who desire to live like the early church did and be of one mind and one accord. Selfishness has stolen so much from us. We need to come together and share what we have in order to make our lives simpler and to do His work on this earth. There are so many calling themselves christians, but so few willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win the lost.
Let us hear from you and allow God to do a work among His true believers, and let Him do a work in us.
