Tree of Life Permaculture Community
Merlin, Oregon,
United States
We are a family of 4 interested in creating community on our 6-acre permaculture homestead in Merlin, Oregon.
We have a two-bedroom, one-bath, 1,000 square-foot area available, with its own kitchen and entrance in our renovated, duplex-style, manufactured home. We would appreciate $475 per month and would like to share the responsibility of caring for (and the harvest from) the various orchards, gardens and animals on the land.
About Us
· We have an 8 year-old girl and a 1 year-old boy whom we homeschool.
· We practice “attachment style” parenting.
· We are spiritually oriented, and attend Guy Finley’s Life of Learning Foundation here in Merlin. The Work at the Foundation is a God/Light/Christ/Buddha or whatever you want to call it - oriented cultivation of self-awareness and presence, from which grow compassion, understanding, non-judgmentalness, personal responsibility, appreciation, humility, courage, freedom, and more.
· We follow the Weston A. Price dietary guidelines.
· Our understanding of health is holistic and is not oriented in pharmaceuticals or surgery.
· We don’t watch television, and have minimal media influence in our lives.
· We are acoustic musicians.
· We compost our “humanure.”
· We use almost no electricity.
· We have a cow, and would like to share the responsibility of milking her.
· We enjoy sharing knowledge, resources, and fellowship, and gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves and others through community.
If you think there may be a mutual enjoyment of our presence in each other’s lives, call James and Heather at (541) 479-1354.
