 Hello!
We are a family of 5 looking to join OR start an eco-village! Currently we are living in the corporate world and are planning to exit it very, very soon. We have recently just paid off ALL our debts and are saving money to buy land.
We are wanting to live a sustainable life-style where we are connected to people and land and have a sense of place and purpose.
Our greatest modern day influences are:
Wendell Berry, Shane Claiborne, Rob Roy, the film Food Inc. and of coarse many others...
We are looking to build a community that supports one another and may not agree on everything but can work together to create a positive lifestyle that spreads out into the surrounding community, through our kids and grandkids. We plan to build our home from scratch with NO debt. We desire to grow the majority of our own food and for the rest of what we cannot make/grow on our own we plan to buy/barter locally. We can even share extra food we grow to those in need. We want to collaborate artistically in our village/local community and create sustainable ways to do everyday work and create our own entertainment.
Like: design a bicycle-powered clothes washing machine, build a Cordwood home from supplies from the local land. Take old guitars and guitar pedals and recycle them into new ones with new sounds. Have a community shared automobile for the occasional trip to town. Community tool shed/tinkering room to teach our kids the skills that have been lost. Teach our kids a life where they can actually be free. Free to follow their dreams in a way that's connected to the land.
To have fun and share this life we have with others, to live in harmony with nature, animals and other human beings.
If this is also what you are desiring and you have interest in getting to know us more, please email us at:

We would love to talk to you. Thank you.
