Fox Valley Sustainable Co-housing
Geneva, Illinois,
United States
Incipient stage of formation. Looking for 2 or 3 families (with or without kids) to co-purchase a property in downtown Geneva, Batavia, or St. Charles, with the common objectives of building community bonds and substantially lowering ecological footprint (and cost of living) per capita without unduly affecting quality of life (privacy & material needs, etc).
Several possible properties have already been identified.
We are quite open at this point to suggestions (specific location and scope of the experiment), but location can't be too far from Geneva.
The only two values that are absolute criteria are concern for recrafting culture in a sustainable direction, and a commitment to democratic principles.
I can be reached at norlyn@sbcglobal.net or 630-362-4663.
