St. Isidore Community
Three Rivers, Michigan,
United States
Three Rivers downtown
Isidore the Laborer (1070-1130), was a beloved Christian saint, known for his love to the poor and to the animals. He is considered the patron saint of farmers, day laborers, and rural communities. Our goal at St Isidore is to live together in community, supporting each other along life's journey, finding ways we can serve and help others in need. Ideally we would share several meals together throughout the week, and have a little bit of time each day for daily prayer. We would like to start by buying a house in the city of Three Rivers, Michigan, with enough yard space to do some organic gardening. We would also like to interface with other local community-minded organizations, such as *Culture is Not Optional (http://www.cultureisnotoptional.com/).
As of January, 2013, there are two people who are interested. We would love to have more!
Please call or e-mail if you might be interested in joining. We look forward to hearing from you!
