SW Missouri Unschoolers
Seymour, Missouri
The intent is to arrange daily interaction for unschooled/homeschooled children at one certain location in order to facilitate true learning.
The main concern for unschoolers/homeschoolers is that most children are taken out of their area and sent off to what is called school, thus leaving the unschooled/homeschooled alone. The problem is not with the unschooled/homeschooled children or their parents, but rather the parents of the schooled children for taking them out of the appropriate learning environment and into, as some call it, prison.
The location is not yet determined and neither are specific details worked out. The idea is for children to be around children and adults where natural, purposeful learning takes place, by way of hunting, fishing, gardening, composting, cooking, water collection, building, and so on. Basically permaculture and learning how to be "self-sufficent."
