Local Permaculture Member Explains Organic Herb Varieties
OMfield is an alternative community of healing, education, and resources in the heart of Central Oregon - just 25 miles east of Bend, OR. We are entirely off-the-grid: local rammed earth and local straw bale have created eco-structures that use solar and wind power for electrical needs, harvesting all water through roof catchment systems, and employing compost toilets to deal with waste. We are currently building a temple (sacred common space) out of earthbags. The land is comprised of 36 pristine acres and the overall vision is an alternative system of community and relationships that are all predicated upon volunteerism: an economy of giving that creates a hybrid of healing and wellness meets the eco-village. Check out the website and slide show for more information.
