Twelve Tribes Community in Boulder
Boulder, Colorado,
United States
At the Flatirons on Shavuot
Currently living here in two houses, our community (six or so families with children and several single people) gathers every morning and evening to hear from our Creator through one another. Devoted to the teachings and selfless life of our Master Yahshua the Messiah (Jesus of the Bible), we lay down our lives for one another (meeting each other's needs first) to see His kingdom come to the earth. We work, rest, dance, laugh, and eat together as a family, enjoying one another's fellowship. We are looking for a larger house within walking distance to our Deli.
Almost two years ago, we acquired a space for our "Yellow Deli" on the west end of Pearl St. We desired to create a unique social atmosphere for the people of Boulder, a gathering place where people matter; a place to go to eat, read, or talk and not feel pressured to be unreal. We wanted to build a place with warm hospitality and solid artisan-ship that’s not showy or fancy, but harmonious; every part working together synergistically for the total effect. We finally opened our Yellow Deli in April of 2011. We offer sandwiches (made with breads baked in-house), salads, smoothies, waffles, and fruit and yogurt parfaits. Also, an espresso and fresh juice bar which specializes in yerba maté drinks.
The Ultimate Purpose of any community endeavor however, is to be the home that our Creator has always desired for the lonely, just as spoken in Psalm 68:5-6. We are thankful to have this life of love together as a people, and we welcome visitors anytime! Friday evenings at 6pm is an especially wonderful time for visitors to come and enter into our celebration of the Sabbath; we are currently meeting at our house on Seminole Dr.
