Tar River Permaculture Project
Franklinton, North Carolina,
United States
We are an emerging community in Franklinton, North Carolina. At present it is my family of four and one resident here from NY.
We just moved to the property in June and have spent the last 3 months reclaiming neglected spaces, building garden beds, hauling out outbuildings and planning out the next couple seasons.
We have 108 acres. Most of it is woods and has about 10 miles of mountain bike trails. There are 3 4 to 5 acre fields that are leased to neighbor tobacco farmers.(organic tobacco at that!) There is a bike shop with an attached bunkhouse that will be able to sleep 4, a small 3 stall barn and a "slave kitchen" behind the 115 year old farm house.
Feel free to drop us a line if you have any questions.
