We're a cooperative Permaculture Eduction Community devoted to generating peace through music and arts.
Clear Water Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(d) organized to share a Common Treasury.
We're an agrarian, egalitarian and permaculture community devoted to sustainable, commonsense living patterns, watershed restoration, permaculture education & nature celebration
The community design is based upon established permaculture principles in order to facilitate integration of the community into the natural ecosystem for the benefit for all.
The community focus is how human beings can live a coopertive neo-agrarian life in balance and celebrate the gifts of the natural world which we are all apart.
We utilize wisdom from the past and new ideas of the present to build an example for the future of how we can live in harmony with our environment.
As a community we recognize that pristine water is the source of all life and its protection and restoration provides the foundation upon which we base our actions. It's purity and vibrancy will gauge the success of our human settlement.
As a community we will encourage regional resiliency by promoting and supporting watershed cooperation. Our ability to befriend and build a resilient network with our larger watershed community will gauge the success of our human community.
Economically, Clear Water Sanctuary functions as a cooperative small business/cottage industry incubator for members of the community to generate right livelihood income related to the mission of the community, including a wide range of possibilities from agriculture to arts and crafts, education to elder care....
(Spring 2012) Currently we are in the beginning stages of buying land. At this time we are basically only open to new members who are willing to meet us where we are (we've done a lot of work so far) and help us shoulder the load of helping to found this fledgling community.
If that's you, we look forward to hearing from you.
Please see our website for more info and to contact us.
