Jamaa Gardens
New Orleans, Louisiana,
United States
I am interested in building a Christian Tiny House garden community in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. The community will be geared primarily to homeschooling families, artists, musicians, &/or the elderly. It will have a community garden, studio/community center, stage, & playground. I am primariy looking to use Tumbleweed House plans: B-53, Whidbey, & Loring (3 - 1 bdrms). I want to build the houses on a Habitat for Humanity stlye to keep costs low and houses extremely affordable. I want the houses to be mortgage-free or w/max. 5/7-yr mortgage. I already own the land and am looking to build about 10 houses (to sell). I would love any ideas, helpful comments, or help to make this effort reality.
These are my initial ideas, but am seriously looking to collaborate, explore, plan, and build.
