Amherst Co-op
Amherst, Massachusetts,
United States
We are a couple (MF) who live and have brought up our children in Amherst MA, and are now in the process of exploring the creation of a communal home. We have shared our home with others for some years now and are looking to expand to a larger house, which we would share with a mix of co-owners and renters. We are liberal-minded and intellectually curious, and we seek to share our lives with like-minded people.
Our goals in living communally: We seek to share equitably in the labor and costs of living with a view to improving economies of time and money. We seek to share the experiences of daily life with others in a mutually-supportive, extended and companionate family.
It is our intention to remain in the Amherst area for its culture, natural beauty, and proximity to both Boston and New York City. We both also have family and friendship ties here.
At this point, we wish to open a dialog with other interested individuals, couples, or families. We hope to get the co-op started within the next two years or so.
If this concept appeals to you, please contact us with your interest.
