Earth Conscious, Free-thinking, Sustainable Community forming on the Big Island of Hawaii
Seeking free-thinkers who are earth conscious; sustainability minded; responsible; self-motivated; organized; and creative to form a community in beautiful raw land on the Big Island. As there are no accommodations/amenities/utilities, you would need to be completely self contained, preferably with your own RV, van, tent, etc…with sleeping space, or love rough camping. We currently have an organic garden, but you’d need to supply the majority of your own food and cooking options at the moment. You’d need to be able to haul your water from a public supply about 5 miles away (best water on the island, I’m told) as we don’t have much rain. A vehicle is recommended as a small town is 5 miles away.
Ideally, come visit first to determine if this is for you. Believe it or not, Hawaii is not for everyone. If you love it and are invited by the community, you will be given a space to build your own simple shelter and garden (and/or participate in the community garden), your own “Space of Love”. We are health conscious, not vegetarian, not vegan. Our wish is to be able to supply most or all of the food we need. You will need to undergo a background check. There are no jobs in the area, so best to have some sort of savings for basics.
In the near future, we have visions for an eco village with Anastasia’s “Space of Love” ideals. Anastasia, a young woman living as a hermit in the deep Siberian proposed that every human being has the ability to create their own ‘Space of Love’ on Earth. This is a place where every tree, herb, insect or animal is filled with love towards a man and this is the only place where a man can be really happy.
“This sustainable ‘Space of Love’ is crucial to bring the new generation and its future; humanity; and the Earth into being. The eco-village we create will offer children a place to share their wisdom and insight with adults as well as amongst each other and learn directly from nature about co-operation, sharing, taking care of the environment, expressing gratitude, etc. We humans are endowed with the most amazing gifts the universe has to offer, the ability to create in combination with free will. This has led to the great variety of human experiences and is also reflected in the great variety of species on this planet, for which we are directly responsible. In step with this insight our goal is to attune ourselves to the wisdom of nature through deep listening and close observation of every life we come into contact with. An essential task is growing food which has the capacity to heal our ailments, raise our energy and in turn allow us to be more thoughtful and conscious co-creators and more attuned to energies which sustain and enhance life in all its forms.”
