Forming
This page last updated:1/24/2011
Etz Chayim (temporary name)
Looking to form an Eco Village on 50 acres northeast of Austin, TX. We wish to have vegan/vegetarian only. NO harming of living beings will be allowed so if you are a meat eater please do not waste your time. Our philosophy is that we cannot have peace on earth as long as there is meat being consumed. There is a plethora of reasons for this and would be glad to help others to understand. Meat eaters will be allowed to visit for classes but will not be allowed to bring meat onto the premises. We are looking for beings that are serious about their commitment to living in harmony with nature and the ideals of purity of the soul. We will get very specific as this unfolds. This is just the beginning and we do not wish to be judgmental but rather understand that in order to have a manifested material world there had to be perimeters. In order to create the world we wish to inhabit requires perimeters. Love is an ideal but love is not without perimeters. We do not wish to offend anyone. There will be a no tolerance policy in regard to children and any inappropriate sexual behavior. We want to create a place of health and healing. The idea is to have 18 two acre plots of land that will be available to private residence. The remainder of the property will serve as common grounds and there will be organic foods grown on these grounds along with a healing center that will serve multiple purposes. We wish to have yoga, massage, raw food classes, a home schooling program that includes all children. We welcome all ages the common denominator will be a shared vision. We cannot create a sustainable community without a shared vision. If this does not resonate for you then it is not the place for you. If it does then we will be happy to speak with you.
The private areas of acreage will require a monetary investment. The shared areas will require cooperative efforts to create once everyone has established themselves on their own land. This will be a several stage operation. First stage is purchasing the land once we have at least 18 people or families that can invest. Second stage would be establishing ourselves on the land and we would hope to have everyone helping each other to do this.
The details will be available to those who have a serious interest in this community. Please contact us with inquiry only if you are seriously drawn to this idea. The details will be worked out through concensus but certain perimeters will not be compromised.
