The Mac House
Cincinnati, Ohio,
United States
The Mac House started in the summer of 2010 and currently has its third group of residential members. The Mac House was created to serve both the people of Mount Auburn and the members of the intentional community.
The intent of this community is a combination of a few purposes, however, the main purpose is to ultimately serve the neighborhood while also living a socially and environmentally responsible life.
The objective is to obtain residential members who are currently working in the not for profit sector because it shows they are dedicating their time giving back to society. The house also provides affordable housing for these tenants while they live in a like-minded housing community. This house, however, is not exclusively for people working in the not for profit and public service sector, it can be for anyone who truly has the heart to serve others living in a simple way. This home also has a first floor that is 100% accessible to those with limited mobility.
