Gaiasana
Turrialba, Cartago,
Costa Rica
Sandiago de Puriscal, SJ,
Costa Rica
We aim to form a sustainable ecovillage dedicated to organic food production, both plant and animal. The care of our soils and our surrounding forest is of primary importance.
Community income will come from a good size alternative health center available to groups and individuals mostly from abroad. This can involve native indian cures.
We will also operate an alternative elder care center for 20 to 50 persons. This will be based on the concept that people are healthier and happier if a certain period of their time is taken up by simple tasks. A sure way to a shorter life is to stick residents in a row of rocking chairs on a porch. Boredom and physical inactivity will take their toll.
Gaiasana's site is at 900 meters above sea level very near La Cangreja National Park, 3.5 Km from Salitrales in Puriscal
