Artists come in all shapes, sizes, flavors and colors, some even dress funny! “Art Without Fear,” an Arts Colony in Chicago, is in the process of creating a new community. Artists will live and work inexpensively in an environmentally friendly and sustainable community.

Do you create art but struggle to find affordable housing? Would you like to live in a community that focuses on creating art and living in an environmentally sustainable way? Join Art Without Fear! We are a growing "community" of artists who have chosen to show the world how living in an "intentional" community can change artists’ lives and lives of the greater community we live in for the better. Our community is now forming. Soon you could be able to living among your peers creating art. No worries about paying super high rent to live in a beautiful, peaceful, energetic and creative environment. Live, work and create in the city of Chicago!

We are in the process of securing a property to create a new Arts Colony in Chicago. The economy isn’t getting better, especially for artists. In fact it only seems to be getting worse. We will have our own cooperative gallery to sell art. The colony will also include a Montessori school with an art "centered" curriculum. A cooperative coffee shop will serve to help support the colony and will give back a percentage of its income back to the greater local community.

Room and Board will be included. So you will not have to worry about utility payments, internet or buying groceries. The more people that commit to the idea and become a part of our community the lower the montly cost for each community member. A current estimate puts our room and board between $500 and $700 dollars per month.

PLEASE NOTE: The community is forming, we do not have and are not offering a place to stay at this time. We are shooting for members to move in late fall or early winter.
