House Mates Wanted to rent space at Fair Field House.
Fair Field House is a budding intentional community in the rolling Green Mountains of North Western Vermont. Our intention is to foster a loving, open minded, and spiritual minded home for individuals interested in living with others who share the same desire for a deeper connection with the sacredness of life and the Earth. We are located about three miles outside of the small country town of Fairfield where we are surrounded by thousands of acres of pasture land, wildflowers, and lush hardwood forests.
Fair Field House rests on 5 acres of property accessible by a well maintained dirt road connecting to the main access road hwy 36. In total we are about twelve miles from interstate 89 and Saint Albans.
The rent on a room is $500.00 per month and utilities are included. No security deposit is required to rent. Rent is due on the first of each month. A rental agreement will be required prior to move in. The bed rooms are fairly spacious and offer lovely vistas of the land. We currently have three rooms available; the rest of the house is communal with the exception of the healing space room that is for seeing clients.
Pets may be allowed at the discretion of the household and all pets will require a security deposit of $400 at the time of move in. Poorly behaved pets are not acceptable. All house mates must have their own transportation. Plenty of parking is available as is some storage space. We do have room for furniture if you have some that you would like to bring with you. However it must be clean and in good condition.
There is a vegetable garden on site along with several flower gardens. If you love the land and enjoy having your hands in the dirt this is a good opportunity to get back in touch with nature.
Wild life and creatures of all sorts abound on the property. Deer, moose, coyote, owls, hawks, mink, weasels, turkeys, wild cats, and the occasional fisher cat have been seen in the area. In addition to those lovely creatures we have several herds of lazy cattle across the road from us, dancing in and among them daily are thousands of butterflies and bumble bees. This is a nature lover’s paradise.
Fair Field House is open to people of all dietary persuasions, and yes there are meat eaters here, so keep that in mind. Respect for fellow housemates and property is required. Drama and inappropriate behaviour is not acceptable, as this is a home that is spiritually minded and respectful of all faiths and beliefs. If you have a hard time working with and getting along with others this may not be the place for you.
Drug use or heavy drinking is not acceptable; keep this in mind if this applies to you.
