Cinderland is an ecovillage located in a beautiful, jungle-like landscape on the Big Island of Hawaii about 20 miles southeast of Hilo near the shoreline. We are a community focused on self-sustainability, organic gardening and permaculture. We share the dream of a simple, healthy, natural way of life.
We are minutes away from the black sands beach, tide pools, volcano steam vents, warm ponds, green lake, lava flow "ecstatic dance" (now called sundance), health food store, and farmer's markets.
We welcome people of all backgrounds and nationalities, particularly those that are friendly, open, conscientious, love the earth and are committed to its preservation.
Food from our many fruit trees and vegetable gardens are available to our residents.
We are very welcoming...come give us a visit! Mahalo!
