Cedar Springs Farm
huntsville, Arkansas,
United States
We are a small hobby farm that is growing things organically (biodynamically). We are situated on 40 acres with about 9 acres in pasture and the balance woods that slope down to the south with a seasonal creek. Nearby recreational opportunities abound at both the Buffalo and King's river- canoeing, fishing, hiking, and camping. There are regular sitings of deer and wild game on the place with the occasional bobcat. There are raised beds and the begining of an orchard along with another large garden space. Our main goal is to become as self-sustaining as possible with the main focus being on food production. We are working towards adding chickens, calves and several horses to the place. We do not have a particular religious focus or dogma. However, we try to conserve resources (energy, water) as much as possible, and recycle at the county recycling center. We would like to have hard-working commited folks to be part of what we are doing. We have room for one or two single folks or a couple. We have space to build a cabin or two on the land and would be able to help the right folks do this. There is electric and rural water on site. Please email or write.
