Mission Statement: A community for mothers who are ready to reunite with the band of motherhood and get the support for themselves and their children; without the unnecessary, extraordinary pressures of civilized society. An opportunity to learn and grow and play with other moms and kids, one with Nature, back to basics, cooking around a central hearth, re-learning medicinal and edible plants, remembering survive and thrive skills, developing cottage industry, networking for sustainability. A place to ground, develop roots AND wings and have the space and support to be the mother you truly want to be.
This is still in the idea stage.I wish so badly I had a place to invite everyone to and this in no way excludes anyone from participating. Diversity is necessary for a healthy community. I just want the community to be accessible and functional for single moms. We have special needs, and special gifts that flourish under the right circumstances.
Latest Update:
If you have a mobile home of some kind, there is a potential spot for us to live. it is small, so only room for one or two families. you'd have to be willing to rough it, in some ways. however, there is shower and bath, outdoor kitchen, electricity, play area, and wifi. and we're next to the greatest dumpsters! 20 minutes from Roanoke. I think this is more ideal for mamas with toddlers. And I'm particularly interested in mamas interested in music and performing arts, as a family circus roadshow has been a dream of mine! much love!
