For those whom live in or around Delaware whom are Curious About Living in Community

This group is intended for forming an intentional community near Delaware, however, we are still in the forming process and have just started cohousing to save expenses. We're calling it the Christiana Co-op. This is not a final group rather a step in the right direction. So far the planning for a larger community has not really gotten off the ground. Statement of Housing Non-discrimination:

Our community does not discriminate in regards to housing based on race/color, national origin, religion, sex/gender, family status (i.e. having children, not having children, or being pregnant), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, ancestry, source of income, age, creed, personal appearance, political affiliation, HIV infection, military/veteran status, unfavorable military discharge, gender identity or expression, receiving public assistance, or being the victim of domestic abuse.

Population Open to new members: Yes	Government Decision Making: By consensus Identified Leader: Yes (The first stage of forming is experimental, so I will be the utimate decider at first after a concensus is reached of course, this'll help rule out the mob rule that may occur when forming a new community) Leadership Core Group: No Answer (I'd imagine so at some point, but not yet)	Labor and Money Financial Style: Members have independent finances Open to Members with Pre-existing Debt: Yes Labor Contribution: Expected (To a certain extent, depending on what's going on at the time.) Join Fee: No (Donations accepted, but none suggested.) Regular Fees: No (Donation based, at this point and it's also not suggested.)
Land and Buildings Other (Rurual, Suburban and City, but mostly rural) Area: 12 acres (4.9 hectares) Land Owned By: Individual community member(s) Number of Residences: 0 (To be built) Cohousing: No Answer (I don't know what the cohousing model is.)	Food, etc. Percentage of Food Grown: over 50% (At least, expect to do so) Share Community Meals: Nearly all meals (Whenever everyone is at the same location) Dietary Choice or Restrictions: Diet is up to each individual Dietary Practice: Omnivorous (I know that this is hot topic, but until further debate, it's not ecomically possible to limit eating to strictly a type of diet. Once it becomes possible, then this will be figured out.) Alcohol Use: Used occasionally (Special Occasions or to loosen social anxiety at parties) Tobacco Use: Prohibited (You can do it outside on the road, because it hurts others to breathe in smoke)	Social Factors Common Spiritual Practices: No (Might change this as it may help bring people together, but as of now, nothing.) Educational Style(s): Private school at the community (Not sure, but certainly leaning towards community based.)
